Out a mutual ambition the idea was born to create a music-event around the theme 'the Blues'. Several companies in Oss, the Blues Touch Foundation, the 'OogvoorOss' Foundation and the local goverment of the City of Oss have workout a formula which launched in 2003.
All parties involved a sure that a professional music-event has good oppertiunuties in Oss. Such an event will have a positive effect on the local, regional en national exposure of Oss. Which will have a side-effect on all parties which an interest in Oss and it's direct nabourhood.
Since 2004 the formula is extended and the base is amde broader. An professional year-progamm was set-up which attracted all kind of people. Also further plans are made for intensive corperation with all 17 smaller villages in the City of Oss, the local Museums and other culture stages, like 'de Groene Engel'.
Due to this very professional approach this initiative could grow an event which put the City of Oss on the map as a national Blues city called "Oss Bluesstad"
